These terms explain how buyers, sellers, agents, developers, and visitors may use KeLand and the responsibilities that come with using the platform.

By using KeLand, you agree to these terms and to use the platform honestly, lawfully, and in a way that supports trustworthy property discovery across Kenya. If you do not agree, you should not use the platform.

Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using KeLand, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and any additional policies or guidelines we publish on the platform.

If you use KeLand on behalf of an agency, company, developer, or other entity, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organisation.

What KeLand provides

KeLand is a real-estate marketplace that helps users discover, market, and enquire about land, homes, rentals, and investment properties in Kenya.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, KeLand does not act as a law firm, bank, surveyor, valuer, conveyancing provider, or principal in any property transaction.

Eligibility and account responsibilities

You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account, submitting a listing, or contacting another user through the platform.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for activity carried out through your account.

  • Use an account only for lawful property-related activity.
  • Do not impersonate another person, agency, or property owner.
  • Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Listing standards and content

If you upload or manage a listing, you confirm that you have the right to advertise that property and to share its images, descriptions, pricing, and supporting details.

Listing information must be truthful, up to date, and not misleading. Material details such as location, plot size, pricing, title status, approvals, and agent representation should be disclosed clearly where applicable.

  • Do not publish duplicate, fake, bait, or unavailable listings.
  • Do not upload content that infringes another party's rights.
  • Keep your listing details updated when price, availability, or status changes.

Verification and user due diligence

KeLand may review listings, request documents, or apply verification labels, but verification on the platform should not be treated as a guarantee that every fact, title, approval, or representation is complete or risk-free.

Buyers, tenants, investors, and listers remain responsible for carrying out their own due diligence before making payments, signing agreements, or completing a transaction.

  • Inspect the property in person where possible.
  • Confirm ownership, title documents, approvals, and survey details independently.
  • Use qualified professional advisers where needed, including advocates, valuers, and surveyors.

Paid services, subscriptions, and promotions

Some KeLand features may require payment, including premium placements, subscriptions, boosted exposure, or other promotional tools for listers.

Where fees apply, the relevant pricing and feature details will be shown before purchase. Unless otherwise stated in writing, paid promotional services become non-refundable once activated or delivered.

Prohibited conduct

You may not use KeLand in a way that harms the platform, other users, or the integrity of the property information presented on the site.

  • Posting fraudulent or misleading property information.
  • Harvesting user data or contact details without permission.
  • Scraping, reverse engineering, or interfering with platform operations.
  • Using KeLand to promote scams, unlawful schemes, or unrelated advertising.
  • Circumventing our moderation, verification, or billing processes.

Enquiries and off-platform transactions

KeLand may help users connect, but any negotiation, site visit, deposit, booking, lease, sale agreement, transfer, or handover happens between the relevant parties and not with KeLand as a contracting party.

We are not responsible for disputes arising from promises, side agreements, payment arrangements, or documents exchanged outside the platform.

Intellectual property

KeLand and its platform design, branding, software, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of the content you submit, but you grant KeLand a non-exclusive right to host, display, reproduce, adapt for formatting, and promote that content in connection with operating and marketing the platform.

Suspension, removal, and termination

We may suspend, restrict, edit, or remove listings, accounts, or content that appear to violate these terms, create trust or safety concerns, attract repeated complaints, or expose users to fraud or legal risk.

We may also discontinue or change parts of the service from time to time, including listing features or promotional packages.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

KeLand is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, enquiry volume, listing performance, buyer conversion, or transaction completion.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KeLand will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising out of platform use, listing reliance, third-party conduct, or property transactions between users.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any dispute relating to these terms or the use of KeLand will be subject to the applicable courts and legal processes in Kenya, unless the parties agree otherwise in writing.
